The 17th Rural Athletics Sports Meet concluded in NTPC Talcher Kaniha with a prize distribution ceremony. Over 450 students from 30 various schools of Kaniha block participated in this annual sports event, organized by NTPC Kaniha in association with Sports Council.
Derang Govt High School bagged the Champion School award with the maximum number of trophies.
The best athletic award was won by Nunaram Tudu and Ranjita Sahoo of Derang Govt High School and Kalpataru Maa Vairabi School, respectively. Girls from DAV School, NTPC Kaniha won the first prize in the 100-meter relay race. The prize distribution ceremony was held on December 10, 2019 and the awardees were felicitated by Shri Navin Bagai, GM (SSC C&M), Shri K.S Sarma AGM (HR) in the presence of Shri P.R Barik, Chairman of NTPC Sports Council
