NTPC Talcher Kaniha under its CSR initiative distributed various utensil sets and grocery items in tribal dominated Mankediasahi – Balangi village. Sixty families were benefitted with this initiative aimed at providing lasting benefits to the communities surrounding NTPC Kaniha. To encourage participation and foster a healthier sports environment, jerseys and footballs were also distributed among youth of the village.
Expressing his joy about being a part of the initiative, ED, Shri Ramesh Babu V said, “NTPC will be happy to render its support and assistance towards community development activities in the future as well.” He further assured the villagers that subsequent cooperation will be provided in a phase wise manner.
During the distribution event, one of the beneficiary stated, “the distributed utensils items will help us in the day- to- day cooking and maintain cleanliness and hygiene compared to earlier.”
