Deepshikha Mahostav celebrated at Ntpc Kaniha

Tanvi Sangam’s Annual Fest, Deepshikha Mahostav was celebrated in NTPC Talcher Kaniha on January 24-25, 2020. The theme for this year’s mela was “Go Green”.The Mahastov was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Shri Sanjeev Kishore, RED, ER-II and Smt Monika Kishore ,President Vasudha Mahila Mandal,Guest of Honour, Shri Sudip Nag, Chief General Manager,Talcher Kaniha and Smt Jayanti Nag President, Tanvi Sangam,  Chief General Manager, Talcher Thermal along with senior officials of NTPC Eastern Region II and members of Ladies Club.
The inauguration was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony and to mark the opening of mela, balloons & sky lantern were released by the dignitaries and senior ladies club members. As part of the tradition, artists of the tribal dance group were provided with winter clothes as a token of appreciation.On this occasion, cycles were distributed to school children of the literacy centre run by Tanvi Sangam as a welfare program of Tanvi Sangam. Guests visited various stalls and exhibitions of the ladies club members and enjoyed the delicacies of the variety of food items which was the main attraction of the mela.A selfie zone for creating awareness on “Go Green” was displayed and attracted the attention of many.The evening was lit with a cultural program with performances on various traditional dance forms and was thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd. Around 60 vendors from various areas like automobile, handicraft, spices, electronics, and garment, etc. took part in the mela.A stall to showcase various CSR activities undertaken by the Station  & Welfare activities of Tanvi Sangam was also presented and appreciated by Shri Kishore, Chief Guest for the occasion.NTPC employees along with their family members and local villagers in very large numbers participated in the mela. During the closing day, in-house musical dance shows are planned to be organised which will be followed by a lucky draw.
