India on Monday reported 78,512 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, said the Union Health Ministry in its daily updates, adding that 971 deaths were reported during the same period.Total confirmed COVID-19 cases in India have risen to 36,21,245, according to the latest update from the Union Health Ministry. This number includes cases involving foreign nationals, patients who have recovered and the death toll.The death toll in India due to the novel coronavirus pandemic has risen to 64,469.
Reported active COVID-19 cases in India now stand at 7,81,975. As many as 27,74,801 COVID-19 patients have been cured and discharged so far.
