Ntpc celebrated 45th Raising day

With great pride and fervour, NTPC Talcher Kaniha celebrated the 45th Raising Day of the company today. It was 7th Nov 1975 that NTPC’s first plant in Singrauli was established with installed capacity of 200 MW. To commemorate this joyous occasion, a Power Walk was organized, which was attended by employees, senior officials, representatives of Union and Association, CISF staff and school teachers.Addressing the gathering, Chief General Manager, Shri Sudip Nag spoke about NTPC and NTPC Kaniha stations ’s operational highlights. “The company today stands at an installed capacity of 57,106 MW accelerating power developments in India. Recently ,NTPC has successfully commissioned the country’s first Ultra Super Critical Unit with a capacity of 660 MW in Khargone, Madhaya Pradesh.In line with the Govt. of India’s vision to promote electric vehicles, NTPC and IOCL have together set up the first electric vehicle charging station at Greater Noida “said Shri Nag.In spite of challenges, NTPC Talcher Kaniha has generated 10550 MU of power with a PLF of 67% (Till October 31, 2019) He called upon the Station’s commitment to generate clean energy with initiatives in solar rooftop installation along with improvisation in ash utilization. With the implementation of Dry Ash Evacuation & Transportation System, dry ash from units of the station is being directly utilized for ash utilization. The latest introduction of the Coal Wagon Tippler will further accelerate the coal unloading process and result in increased productivity of the power station.He highlighted ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ (SHS) and Vigilance Awareness Week campaigns which have had a widespread outreach and engagement among various community members. He further emphasized on NTPC Kaniha’s commitment towards CSR activities in education, infrastructure building, skill development, water supply, and health.In his concluding remarks, he thanked the Station’s Union, Association, Cultural bodies, CISF staff and employees for their valuable contribution.  Later in the evening ,a musical evening was organised. The program was performed by Bollywood Singing Sensation Ritu Pathak and Ollywood celebrities  Amrita Nayak, and Swayam Padhi. The singers sung on various dance numbers in Odia, Punjabi and Hindi tracks along with soothing Bollywood symphonies.The event was organized by the Recreation Centre of NTPC Kaniha and was attended in huge numbers.
