The Sub-Inspector of Khallikote police station in Ganjam district is in news after a woman police personal accused him of betraying her after keeping a physical relationship with her on the pretext of marriage.The victim, identified as an SI of Daringibadi police station, said that during her training days at Biju Patnaik State Police Academy in 2017, SI Silu Dhal proposed her.However, she rejected the offer due to personal reasons.When she was posted at Jamankira police station in Sambalpur, the SI visited her room and kept physical relationship with her after promising her of marriage.Later, when she gained knowledge that Silu was set to marry another girl, she approached him but faced rejection from Silu.She lodged a complaint against the SI at Sarangada police station in Kandhamal. Later, Silu’s family members requested the victim to settle the case and promised marriage.
While Silu married her in a temple in later fled after a few days.She registered a fresh case with Daringibadi police on August 16 this year under various sections and also approached the DGP to take action against the culprit.
